COLLABORATIVE LEARNING IN TERTIARY EDUCATION CLASSROOMS : WHAT DOES IT ENTAIL?

Purpose - Collaborative learning has been increasingly recognized as an effective approach to promote students’ success in highereducation. To better understand the factors that contribute successful collaborative learning, this study applied Biggs’ presage-processproduct (3P) general model of investigate role teaching quality, student-faculty interaction, and relatedness presage factors, process factor, reflective integrative higher-order thinking product factors. Methodology A cross-sectional was study, which included 1,892 Malaysian undergraduates. The usedthe Quality University Learning Experience (QULEX) survey measure various constructs. First, confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) conducted establish psychometric properties instruments. Thereafter, structural equation modeling (SEM) wasemployed evaluate latent variables relationships. Findings Based on findings, fully mediated prediction teachingquality, thinking. Significance These findings suggest with social components maximize activities, they should be fostered academic institutions improve success. Implications for improving are also discussed paper.
